Hello! My name is Fritha and I’m a blogger at Tigerlillyquinn, I’m really pleased to announce that I’ll be teaming up with Cosatto for the next few months to bring you a weekly pregnancy blog. I’m really excited to be working with the team again as Cosatto’s designs and ethos are right up my street!
At currently 19 weeks pregnant we just found out the sex of our second baby and are delighted to be expecting a little girl. We already have a three year old son and whilst we would have been over the moon either way our little boy Wilf was quite insistent on a sister so it has worked out quite well.
We actually asked the sonographer at the scan if he would be able to write the gender down on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope so we couldn’t see straight away. We wanted to find out as a family in our own time and be able to record our reactions to look back on. My husband Tom had the idea to choose two different outfits and hand the sealed envelope over to a friend so that she could look and then place one of the outfits in a box for us to open and find out that way. We made a little video if you fancy a watch, I love the part where we both realise what is inside before we fully open the parcel.
After quite an unpleasant first few months of sickness I’m so pleased to be finally at that stage where you start to feel a bit more human. I’m not entirely sure I’ve hit the ‘glowey’ stage yet (mums of more than one, did you ever feel that with your second?) but I’ve certainly passed through the first trimester fog and am able to feel really excited about the second half on my pregnancy journey.
I’ve found the differences in my first and second pregnancy quite surprising and I was thinking it would make for an interesting post. I’d love to know if any of you found carrying a Boy or Girl different, did you feel like you ‘knew’ the sex because of it? I’d love to know!
